The Madden 24 release date is confirmed and pre-orders have begun. If you’re interested in buying the game, you’ll want to pick the right Madden 24 edition for your interest level and budget.

EA’s announced the next installment in the long-running Madden series and Madden 24 is heading to consoles and Windows in August.

The Madden 24 release date is slated for August 18th. This is the release date for all platforms, a list that includes PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC. It’s not coming to Nintendo Switch, it seems.

If you want to play the game before August 18th, you need to buy a specific Madden 24 edition or subscribe to EA Play.

There are currently three Madden 24 editions: a standard version, a Deluxe edition with some added bonuses at a higher price point, and an EA Play Pro edition that’s only available via the EA app.

If you decide to pre-order Madden 24, you’ll want to pick the right edition. Each has its pros and cons and today we want to guide you through each one and tell you about the key differences between a physical and digital copy of the game.

Madden 24 Standard Edition

The standard edition is the most basic version of Madden 24. For $69.99, you get a copy of the game and some bonuses if you order before the game’s release in August.

This is the price for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series. It’s also the price for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. The price has jumped up $10 from the usual $59.99.

Here are the Madden 24 standard edition pre-order bonuses:

  • Josh Allen Elite Player Item
  • Choice of 2 Strategy Items
  • NFL Marble Bills Gear

There aren’t a ton of Madden 24 deals out there right now though EA Play subscribers can take the usual 10% discount on a pre-order.

Best Buy is also offering a free $15 Best Buy e-Gift card to those who pre-order a copy of Madden 24 for Xbox or PlayStation.

The Madden 24 standard edition is the the cheapest version of the game and it’s probably the edition most people should buy.

Who should buy the standard Madden 24 edition?

  • You plan to play Madden 24 casually.
  • You don’t plan to spend much, or any, time in Madden Ultimate Team.
  • You don’t care about playing before August 18th.

You can pre-order the Madden 24 Standard Edition right now at various retailers including Amazon.

Madden 24 Deluxe Edition

If you want some bonus items with your copy of the game, you might want to shell out a little more cash for the Madden 24 Deluxe edition.

The Madden 24 Deluxe edition will set you back $99.99 without a deal. This is the price for all platforms including Xbox One and PS4.

Here are the Madden 24 Deluxe edition pre-order bonuses:

  • Josh Allen Elite Player Item
  • Choice of 2 Strategy Items
  • NFL Marble Bills Gear
  • 3 Day Early Access

The Madden 24 Deluxe edition also includes 4600 Madden Points which, along with the early release date, is its main selling point.

Also of note, if you pre-order the Madden 24 Deluxe edition by July 22nd will also receive a player item from the AKA Ultimate Team Program.

So who should opt for Madden 24 Deluxe edition?

  • You want to play Madden 24 ASAP.
  • You plan to invest a lot of time in Madden 24.
  • You plan to play a ton of MUT.

You can buy the Deluxe edition right now at various retailers.

Madden 24 EA Play Pro Edition

There is also a Madden EA Play Pro edition which requires a subscription to EA’s Play Pro service.

The EA Play Pro edition grants you everything from the Deluxe edition, minus the 4600 Madden points. However, you will get 500 Madden points with each monthly login from August 2023 to July 2024.

If you aren’t an EA Play Pro subscriber, you’ll need to weigh the pros and cons before you commit. An EA Play Pro subscription is $14.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire year.

Madden 24: Digital vs. Physical

Madden 24 comes in physical and digital formats. Here are a few things to consider before you pick one or the other.

If you’re sick of discs cluttering up your house, you should go with a digital version. You’ll also want to go digital if discs often go missing or get damaged in your home.

If you play a lot of different games and don’t want to pull the disc out every time you want to play, go digital. Downloading a digital copy means you’ll have easy access to the game every time you start up your console.

If you want to play the game ASAP, purchase a digital copy. You can pre-load the game ahead of its release date which lets you to start playing the second it goes live.

There are also a few reasons to go with a physical copy of Madden 24.

If you buy a physical copy you’ll be able to sell it to GameStop or sell it on a resale site like Craigslist or eBay if you get tired of playing it. You’ll also be able to lend your copy out to friends or family members when you decide to move onto another game.

The Madden 24 release date is confirmed and pre-orders are live for all platforms. And while there are some great reasons to pre-order a copy right now, there are also some great reasons to put your credit card away and wait.

Madden 24 is EA’s latest entry into its popular Madden series and it’s headed to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5, PS4, and Windows PC in August.

The official Madden 24 release date is August 18th for all platforms, but you can play the game earlier if you join EA Play or purchase an upgraded bundle.

There are three versions of Madden 24. There’s a standard version that serves as the cheapest way to access the game and there’s a Deluxe edition which is aimed at hardcore fans of the series. Both versions feature Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on the cover.

There’s also a EA Play Pro edition that’s only available via an EA Play Pro subscription and the EA app.

Now that the gameplay trailer is out and the Madden 24 release date is set in stone, the game is up for pre-order at various retailers. And that might have you thinking about buying a copy of the game ahead of its arrival.

If you’re struggling with the decision, you’re in the right place. In this guide we’ll take you through the best reasons to pre-order Madden 24 and the best reasons to hang back and wait a few more weeks. Some of you might even want to skip a pre-order and wait until after the game comes out to buy a copy.

Madden 24 Release Date & Features: 10 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

EA’s confirmed the Madden 24 release date and the game is up for pre-order. Here’s what you need to know right now about Madden 24.

EA’s working on multiple football games. One is EA College Football though it’s not slated to arrive until 2024. The other is Madden 24, the next installment in the long-running Madden series. It arrives later this year.

With Madden 24 pre-orders live for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and other platforms, we can now outline the important things potential Madden 24 buyers should know about the game.

In this guide we’ll outline what you need to know about Madden 24 features, cover athlete, launch date, release date, editions, pricing and more.

Madden 24 Trailer

EA officially launched Madden 24 on June 7th and the company released the game’s first trailer which you can watch below.

EA’s announced Madden 24 All-Access and the company will continue to release videos that explore the game’s various modes. Here’s the schedule:

  • Franchise Deep Dive – June 29th
  • MUT Deep Dive – Early August
  • Superstar Deep Dive – Early August

Look for new Madden 24 videos to drop on those dates.

Madden 24 Release Date

The Madden 24 release date is confirmed for August 18th. This is the release date for all platforms.

There is also an early release date. If you buy the Deluxe version of the game, you can start playing on August 15th. Same goes for those with an EA Play subscription.

EA Play is $4.99 a month or $29.99 for a year and you save 10% on games and in-game purchases. EA also offers Play Pro which is $14.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire year.

For more about how to play Madden 24 early, check out our guide.

Madden 24 Cover

Madden 22 used two cover athletes: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and former quarterback Tom Brady. It did something different with Madden 23 and put legendary Hall of Famer John Madden on all of the game’s covers. This year, the cover features just one athlete.

Buffalo Bills star QB Josh Allen appears on the standard and Deluxe versions of Madden 24. Allen is the first Bills player to appear on the cover of the game.

Madden 24 Editions

As of right now, there are three versions of Madden 24: a standard edition, a Deluxe edition and an EA Play Pro edition that’s only available via an EA Play Pro subscription and the EA app.

The standard edition is a no-frills version of the game while the Deluxe edition comes with some extras aimed at players who plan to spend a ton of time playing the game. Note that both games provide Dual Entitlement (PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series X/S).

Here’s what you get if you buy the Madden 24 Deluxe edition:

  • 4600 Madden Points
  • 3 Day Early Access

Those who pre-order the Madden 24 Deluxe edition or EA Play Pro edition by July 22nd will also receive a player item from the AKA Ultimate Team Program.

As for the EA Play Pro edition, you get everything from the Deluxe edition minus the 4600 Madden points. However, you will get 500 Madden points with each monthly login from August 2023 to July 2024.

For more about the Madden 24 editions, check out our guide.

Madden 24 Pre-Order Bonus

As expected, EA’s provided some enticing pre-order bonuses. These apply to all versions of the game. Here are Madden 24’s pre-order bonuses:

  • Josh Allen Elite Player Item
  • Choice of 2 Strategy Items
  • NFL Marble Bills Gear

These items will be delivered to players when the game arrives in August. For more about Madden 24 pre-orders, have a look at our guide.

Madden 24 Consoles

Unlike some recent games, Madden 24 doesn’t drop support for older consoles.

EA has a long history of supporting older consoles so it will likely be a few more years before Madden skips the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Madden 24 supports the following platforms:

  • Xbox Series X
  • Xbox Series S
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox One X
  • Xbox One S
  • PlayStation 5
  • PlayStation 4 Pro
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 4 Slim
  • Windows

The Madden series still hasn’t come to Nintendo Switch and we haven’t heard any news about a release for the portable console in 2024.

As a reminder, Madden 24 won’t come to PS3 or Xbox 360 so if you still own one of those consoles you’ll need to upgrade in order to play.

Madden 24 Price

Unsurprisingly, EA is using tiered pricing for Madden 24.

The base version of Madden 24 for Xbox One and PS4 is $69.99, up from $59.99, while the base version for PS5 and Xbox One Series X stays at the usual $69.99.

The Madden 24 Deluxe edition costs more than the base game. The Deluxe edition will run you $99.99 without a deal.

We’ve seen some Madden 24 deals popup already. For instance, those who pre-order Madden 24 through Best Buy will get a $15 e-gift card. And if you have an EA Play account, you’ll be able to save the usual 10%.

It’s also worth noting that Madden 23 players who lost save files will get a 50% discount on a copy of Madden 24.

Madden 24 Features

EA’s confirmed numerous Madden 24 features and here’s a rundown of what we know so far.

According to a report from Insider Gaming, Madden 24 is being looked at as “make or break” for the franchise. So it should come as no surprise to learn that EA’s made some big changes this year.

FieldSense has been improved in Madden 24 though keep in mind, these features are limited to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC:

  • Hit Everything 2.0 – Hit Everything expands with new contested catch tackle types that provide more control and tackle variety on defense. Tackle animations are selected more dynamically, which unlocks new and more fluid tackle interactions like Wrap and Scoop tackles.
  • Skill-Based Passing 2.0 – Dive for a winning one-hander with improved catching AI, thread the needle with surgical accuracy using new throw animations, and anticipate more authentic defensive reactions with enhanced DB behavior introduced in Skill-Based Passing 2.0.

The company has made improvements to the game’s AI and they include:

  • AI Enhancements – Smarter AI enables smoother and more realistic player action and reaction to the plays you call, providing more confidence your AI teammates will execute your game plan the way you intend.
    • QB awareness and behavior
    • Ball carrier AI and pathfinding
    • Blocking AI and open field targeting
    • DB awareness & Pass Coverage
    • Post Play Emotion enhancements

The game introduces a new feature called Sapien Technology which are “new anatomically accurate NFL player skeletons on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions that are more responsive and represent true-to-life player motion.”

You can learn more about all of EA’s gameplay enhancements if you head over to the company’s deep dive. It expands on many of these features and highlights others.

And yes, there is Crossplay support which means you can play against players on other platforms. There are a few caveats you need to know about though.

EA says cross-play will only be available for players on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. If you buy the game for another platform, you’re out of luck.

Cross-play will be available in the following game modes: online Head-to-Head, Madden Ultimate Team, Superstar KO, and Superstar Showdown.

Here are some of the other highlights from Madden 24’s features:

Superstar: The League (PS5/Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC only)

  • Achieve greatness in your NFL career with game-changing control thanks to FieldSENSE. Customize your avatar and build your legacy, progressing from the combine to draft pick to 99 OVR.  Navigate all-new mini games and live player grading across a variety of positions.

Superstar: Showdown (PS5/Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC only)

  • Show off and show out in this all-new atmosphere. Progress your avatar and play with and against friends in 3v3 matchups. Call your plays on the fly like a dominant superstar, get real-time player grading, and do it in style sporting the hottest gear in the game.

Franchise

  • Upgrade your team with fan favorite mini-games returning to Madden NFL 24. Test your skills with dozens of new mini-games including moving obstacles and destructible targets in Franchise training camp or weekly strategy.
  • Utilize a streamlined team relocation feature with new cities, logos  and uniforms to create your own Franchise story.
  • Build your future using Free Agency 2.0 by restructuring contracts and making counter offers to cornerstone playmakers.
  • Acquire and retain superstars using 50 new unique draft generators, new trade logic tuning, six trade slots and new talent trees for coaches.
  • Use new commissioner tools to customize your experience in online and offline connected leagues.

Madden Ultimate Team

  • Develop and progress your dream fantasy roster of current NFL stars and Hall of Fame legends faster with new seasons of content throughout the year. Always have something to play for with Field Pass challenges that unlock rewards in Madden Ultimate Team and help you build the strongest team possible.

You can also expect upgrades to graphics and performance, Patrick Mahomes’ superman throw, the ability to turn off M Factors, new player ratings for Madden 24’s rosters, and EA’s also confirmed some great news for those who plan to play the game on Windows PC.

At long last, the Windows PC version of Madden 24 will be on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game. That means better graphics and gameplay.

Madden 24 Mobile

Per usual, we expect EA to bring Madden 24 to iPhone, iPad, and Android.

The mobile version of Madden, while robust, is a toned down version of the game. However, unlike the full blown version of Madden, it’s free to play on these platforms.

Madden 24 PC Requirements

If you plan to play Madden 24 on a Windows PC, take note of the minimum and recommended system requirements:

Madden 24 Minimum Requirements

  • 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Equivalent

EA College Football Release Date & Features: 10 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

EA College Football is making a comeback according to EA Sports, though there’s no firm release date scheduled yet. Here’s everything we know about EA College Football based on official information, traditions, rumors, and what we expect to see down the road.

EA College Football is a highly anticipated release because it’s been missing for so long. College football fans have been waiting since 2013 for a new college football game for Xbox and PlayStation. And while EA Sports is being coy about EA College Football’s exact release date, at least we know the game’s in the works.

EA Sports’ surprise announcement didn’t have a lot of information. Unfortunately, it will likely take awhile for EA to outline College Football’s release timeline and more details.

There are some added complexities since college football players are not professionals like the players portrayed in Madden and other popular EA Sports games.

Here’s a closer look at when you can expect the EA College Football release date, what features to expect, which consoles it will be on, and an estimated launch date.

EA College Football Launch Date

The initial EA College Football announcement was light on details and that means you can expect a much bigger launch announcement down the road.  The launch date is when EA reveals the game, begins its full-on marketing push, and the game is almost ready.

For now, we’ve seen a few tweets and press releases, but nothing more than that.

You can expect a future announcement to include EA College Football pre-orders, pre-order bonuses, EA College Football editions, and more.

If you see EA College Football pre-orders popup at a retailer or via a site like eBay, you’ll want to hold off and wait for the official EA College Football release details.

EA College Football Release Date

While many gamers were hopeful we’d get a new college football game in the near future, that’s out the window.

The company is currently “building out the team and deciding what direction they want the game to go in.” EA says the game will primarily be built by Electronic Arts’ Orlando studio. EA Tiburon is the same studio that develops the Madden series.

EA Sports typically releases sports games just before their corresponding real-world seasons begin. For example, EA Sports plans to release Madden 24 on August 18th, just a few weeks before the 2023-2024 NFL season kicks off.

So that means we’ll likely see the EA College Football release date land in July or August. And that timeline makes a ton of sense given what we’ve heard about the game’s release window.

In November, EA confirmed plans to release EA College Football in the summer of 2024. Initially it looked like the game would arrive in 2023, but that won’t happen.

Daryl Holt, EA Sports’ vice president and general manager, told ESPN that this is the “best date for us to bring the game that we think is going to meet or exceed our player expectations.”

Teams in EA College Football

According to Holt, EA Sports has partnered with collegiate licensing company CLC to make sure the company has the ability to bring FBS schools, traditions, uniforms, and playbooks to EA College Football. This means the game should have over 100 teams in the game though it may not have all of them.

In an ESPN report from 2021, Notre Dame said it wouldn’t “provide its name, logos and other branding property to EA Sports.” The school said it wouldn’t “until new rules that determine whether athletes will be able to receive a cut of the game’s profits are finalized.” Notre Dame is one of the biggest brand names in college football.

Fortunately, things have changed. A new report from ESPN claims that Notre Dame has “been in touch with EA Sports to help with NIL integration for the video game.” That doesn’t mean they’re in yet, but it’s a good sign.

The report also notes that several hold outs including Wisconsin, Northwestern, TCU, Fresno State and Tulane have opted into the game.

It looks like Michigan is currently undecided about whether to participate. BYU, Hawaii, and Kentucky have reportedly taken a similar stance and USC says it hasn’t “reached a licensing agreement with EA Sports/CLC that is acceptable to USC.”

Penn State says it will participate in the game if certain conditions are met. The school will follow the game’s progress and says it will withdraw if it doesn’t meet university standards.

Out of the 130 teams in FBS, 118 are part of CLC. Here are the 12 teams that currently aren’t part of the CLC:

  • Air Force
  • Arizona State
  • Army
  • Clemson
  • Georgia State
  • Kentucky
  • Navy
  • New Mexico
  • Notre Dame
  • Pittsburgh
  • Troy
  • USC

These teams haven’t been ruled out and the schools are able to sign their own agreements with EA. Clemson and USC did just that as both are included in Madden 22.

Brown has also obtained a copy of EA’s proposal that it sent to colleges. It outlines some of the features EA’s hoping to include in the title.

In a more recent report, Brown says the “industry expectation is that every single FBS institution, including the newest members joining from FCS, will participate in the game at launch.”

It’s also important to note that EA’s secured the rights to all 10 FBS conferences as well as the College Football Playoff.

Real Players in EA College Football

Real college teams will be in the game and EA College Football will also include real players.

In 2020, EA told ESPN it was “planning to move forward without rosters that include the names, images or likenesses of real college players.” That was because NCAA rules prohibited athletes from selling their NIL rights while in college.

EA said it was monitoring the NIL legislation progress and that if the situation changed, the game would evolve with it. Well, things have changed.

The United States Supreme Court made a ruling barring the NCAA from limiting academic benefits to college athletes. In turn, the NCAA doesn’t block players from profiting off their name, image, and likeness.

EA Sports has told ESPN that it has a contract with OneTeam Partners to “facilitate collegiate athletes’ names and likenesses” into the game.

The company says the partnership will allow for all eligible FBS players to opt in to have their likenesses included in EA College Football. Players will receive compensation for appearing in the game. How much they receive remains to be seen.

According to Front Office Sports, The Brandr Group, an entity that negotiates group licensing deals for 50+ Division I schools, is suing EA over the NIL deals being offered to college football players.

EA is reportedly in league with OneTeam Partners to negotiate an NIL deal and that the current offer is $500 per player with zero share in royalties. The Brandr Group argues this is way under market value.

It’s unclear how the lawsuit might impact the game’s development moving forward, but it’s certainly something to keep an eye on as we push closer to the game’s release.

EA College Football Cover

While games like Madden and FIFA feature prominent stars on their covers, it’s unclear who will be on the EA College Football cover.

This was the cover of the last EA Sports college football game

NCAA Football 14, the last college football game released by EA Sports, featured Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson. Robinson was selected via fan voting and he was chosen over several other marquee names at the time.

We could see the company take a similar approach to the EA College Football cover now that we know real players will be included in the game.

EA College Football Price

EA hasn’t confirmed the EA College Football price, but here are a few things you can expect based on EA’s approach with other games like Madden and FIFA.

Assuming EA launches multiple EA College Football editions, we’ll likely see tiered pricing starting at $69.99. That’s how much the base version of Madden 24 for PS5, PS4 Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One costs. If EA offers bundles with extras, you can expect those to cost more.

If EA decides to release EA College Football for last-generation consoles, we could see it use a similar price structure. Those details, of course, won’t come until the company is ready to announce the game.

EA College Football Features

It’ll be awhile before EA outlines the game’s features in full, but Matt Brown has revealed some potential ones.

According to Brown, EA is planning an Ultimate Team Mode for the game. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that it’s a cash cow for games like Madden and FIFA.

Brown also says the popular Dynasty mode from previous games “will be a part of the game in some capacity” and that has been confirmed by EA.

EA College Football Consoles

Now that the game’s official, many people are wondering about a potential EA College Football release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. EA hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but we could certainly see a launch on those consoles.

Microsoft and Sony launched their Xbox One and PS4 consoles back in 2013. The consoles replaced the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It would be foolish for EA Sports to limit College Football to the latest consoles as it would be missing out on sales to the millions of people that haven’t upgraded to the PS5 or Xbox Series X.

Madden 17, which arrived in 2016, was the last version to support PS3 and Xbox One. FIFA 19, which launched in 2019, was the last version of the game to support the PS3 and Xbox One.

So while nothing is confirmed, EA’s sports games have a history of supporting older consoles and that bodes well for those still holding onto a PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox Series X.

That said, if you want the best version of EA College Football, you’ll need to own a newer console like Sony’s PS5 or Microsoft’s Xbox Series X.

While a release for older platforms is still up in the air, EA College Football will definitely come to current-generation consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Holt tells ESPN that conversations about bringing the game back started a few years ago and that the “technology they’ve seen on Next Gen platforms like the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X” helped spur them along.

EA isn’t talking about the game’s features yet, but you can expect the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions to include at least some of the advancements we’ve seen on board Madden and FIFA for theses consoles.

EA College Football iPhone & Android

It’s unclear if EA will provide a college football experience to iPhone and Android users, but a recent job posting seems to hints at a mobile release.

Madden NFL Mobile and FIFA Soccer are extremely popular apps on the App Store and Google Play Store so there’s a good chance EA brings an experience to iPhone, iPad and Android.

This is especially true if EA College Football features an Ultimate Team (MUT, FUT) experience that lives and breathes on micro-transactions.

How to Play College Football on Xbox and PlayStation Right Now

If you want to play college football on a console right now you’ll need a PS3 or Xbox 360.

NCAA Football 14, the last game in the series, isn’t backwards compatible with newer consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X and never will be.

If you still own one of these consoles and you’re interested in playing, you can still find NCAA Football 14 through retailers like Amazon.

You’ll be happy to know there’s still a thriving community that supports the game with new roster updates to help keep it fresh.

Starfield DLC: 5 Things to Know Right Now is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

Starfield’s still months away from its release for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC, but Bethesda’s already revealed the first DLC expansion for the game.

Earlier this month, the company took gamers through a deep dive into the world of Starfield, its next RPG. Plain and simple, Starfield is a massive game and it will have hours and hours, and yes hours, of content when it arrives in early September.

There are over 1000 planets to explore, there are ship dogfights in space, there are factions, and there’s obviously a ton of dialogue with a wide range of characters. There won’t be a lack of things to do at launch.

Of course, Bethesda won’t stop there. Games like Starfield are meant to last years, decades even, and the company will provide a ton of content post-launch.

Some of that content will come in the form of mods. You can expect a robust modding community and their mods will help prolong the life of the game.

Bethesda is also planning to release Starfield DLC, or downloadable content, that helps keep the game fresh and expands on the storyline.

Details are a bit scarce at the moment, but we want to take you through what we know about Starfield DLC right now. We’ll continue to update this guide as more information becomes available.

Starfield Shattered Space

Bethesda hasn’t gone into how exactly it will handle DLC for Starfield, but the company has surprisingly confirmed the game’s first expansion.

The expansion is called Shattered Space and the company is calling it a “story expansion” which means it will tie-in with the game’s storyline.

While Shattered Space will likely serve as the first big piece of Starfield DLC, Bethesda says it plans to release more as time goes on. No surprise there given what its done with games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

In an interview with IGN, Todd Howard says the plan is to add a lot more downloadable content. Howard says that much like past games, players can expect DLC of “varying sizes.”

Starfield Shattered Space Release Date

While Shattered Space is confirmed, a release date for the DLC isn’t. The company hasn’t said anything about a date or a release window so there’s no telling how long it will take for the content to arrive.

We suspect the company will focus on fixing bugs and performance issues out of the gate so we’d be surprised if the DLC landed anywhere close to the game’s release date in September.

Bethesda released Fallout 4 in November, 2015. The company released the game’s first DLC expansion, dubbed Automatron, in March of 2016.

Bethesda could shake things up, but look for the first expansion to drop once players have spent a bit of time exploring the game and once the developer has ironed out some of the game’s more serious bugs.

Starfield Shattered Space Features

Again, Shattered Space is a storyline expansion. Given that the game isn’t out yet, it’s impossible to predict how it might continue the plot.

That being said, it’s safe to assume the DLC will include new dialogue and new quests and we could potentially see new characters, planets, weapons, and more.

Bethesda probably won’t confirm these details until we get much closer to the DLC’s release date so we could be flying through space blind for awhile.

How to Get Shattered Space

If you plan to put hundreds of hours into Starfield, and you know you’ll want to play the Shattered Space expansion, you can secure access to the expansion pack right now. Here’s how to do that.

Two of Bethesda’s Starfield editions grant you access to the DLC. You’ll need to buy either the Premium edition ($99.99) or the Constellation edition ($299.99). There’s also another way.

If you buy the Starfield Standard edition, but decide you want the content that comes with the Premium edition, retailers are offering an upgrade for $34.99. This upgrade includes access to the DLC and several other bonuses including an early release date.

Starfield Shattered Space Price

Now suppose you don’t want to upgrade to the Premium edition and/or the Constellation edition is too expensive, you’ll almost certainly be able to buy the Shattered Space DLC as a standalone upgrade.

Bethesda hasn’t confirmed, but there’s nothing to suggest the DLC is exclusive to the Premium edition or Constellation edition. So it’s safe to assume you’ll be able to buy Shattered Space from the Microsoft Store or Steam just like DLC from other games.

We also don’t know if Bethesda is offering a discounted price to those who pre-order these bundles because we don’t know how much Shattered Space will cost as a standalone upgrade.

Again, the Premium upgrade is $34.99 so we’d expect the Shattered Space price to come in a bit cheaper than that. We won’t know for sure until Bethesda reveals its plans.

How to Find Starfield Constellation Edition in Stock is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

If you want the Starfield Constellation edition at your house in early September, you’ll wait to keep an eye on its stock as we push into the summer.

Starfield pre-orders are live which means you can now buy Bethesda’s next RPG ahead of its release date later this year. The game is headed to the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC on September 6th though you’ll be able to play a bit earlier than that if you buy a bundle.

Remember, Starfield is exclusive to these platforms and Bethesda won’t release it for Xbox One, Sony’s PlayStation 5, or PlayStation 4.

You can start playing the game up to five days early if you buy the game’s Premium edition or Constellation edition which is Starfield’s collector’s bundle.

The Starfield Constellation edition is a $299.99 bundle and it comes with a ton of extras including a Starfield Chronomark Watch & Case. The Starfield Chronomark watch LPV6 is an item your character gets in the game and Bethesda’s brought it to life in this special bundle.

Unsurprisingly, the bundle is already hard to find. We expect retailers to provide additional stock down the road, but it will likely be up and down all the way to the release date.

If you don’t want to pay more than $299.99 for the bundle, and you manage to find it in stock, you should pre-order the bundle right away.

If you’re interested in buying the Starfield Constellation Edition, you’ll want to keep tabs on its stock in the weeks ahead. In this guide, we’ll help you do that.

How to Find Starfield Constellation Edition in Stock

Your first option is to track the Constellation Edition stock manually. Head to the bundle’s page at a retailer like Best Buy or GameStop and bookmark the page.

Make sure you check for additional stock on a regular basis. You might even want to add a shortcut in your browser for easy access.

You can also use sites like NowInStock or StockInformer to do the heavy lifting for you. NowInStock and StockInformer allow you to easily track the Constellation edition’s stock without having to visit retail websites over and over again.

To do this, head over to StockInformer’s Starfield Constellation Edition page. This page shows the bundle’s stock history at various retailers and it updates every few minutes giving you a look at its current status.

You can subscribe to set up alerts for your browser and get notified whenever stock becomes available at a retailer.

If you’d prefer to use NowInStock, head to its Starfield page. Here, you can set up alerts to get email, text or browser notification whenever the bundle is available. Here’s how to do that:

  • Register for a free account at NowInStock.
  • Check your inbox for a verification email and click the correct link to verify.
  • Go back Starfield’s NowInStock page.
  • Click Add/Manage alerts in the right corner of the screen.
  • Add an item to track it.

Once you add the bundle, you’ll see a menu where you can select to get text, email and browser alerts. These are free, unless you get carrier text message charges.

You can also check availability on resale sites like eBay and Craigslist, but you won’t be able to find the bundle for anything close to its retail price right now. We’re seeing listings in the $400-500 range.

That being said, if you’ve got money to burn and you really want the Constellation edition at your house in early September, this is a route to consider.

NBA 2K24 Release Date & Features: 10 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

We don’t have an official NBA 2K24 release date yet, but here’s what you need to know right now about NBA 2K24 based on traditions, rumors, confirmed information, and what we expect from the annual release.

NBA 2K23 is still the flagship game, but that will change later this year when 2K Sports and Visual Dynamics release a new entry in the long-running 2K series.

We don’t have much in the way of official NBA 2K24 news, but we expect to learn a lot more about NBA 2K24 in the coming weeks as development continues behind the scenes.

While it’s early, we know a lot of gamers have questions about NBA 2K24 so we’re going to outline everything you can expect in this guide.

Here’s a closer look at what you can expect from NBA 2K24’s features, release date, editions, demo, and more.

NBA 2K24 Announcement

2K Sports’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, confirmed plans to release NBA 2K24 in an earnings call.

While the game is indeed confirmed, 2K hasn’t made its annual announcement yet. If traditions hold, that announcement will come in June or July.

Last year, 2K confirmed a flurry of NBA 2K23 details on July 7th. Those announcements coincided with the start of the NBA Summer League.

NBA 2K24 is the main sponsor of this year’s NBA Summer League and the league kicks off on July 7th in Las Vegas and stretches until July 17th.

So, there’s a very good chance we see the NBA 2K24 reveal take place in and around July 7th.

NBA 2K24 Release Date

We don’t have an official NBA 2K24 release date yet and we won’t get one until 2K’s ready to start talking about the game.

In its earnings call, Take-Two said the NBA 2K24 release date will land sometime in Fiscal 2024 which should come as no surprise.

As of right now, you can expect the NBA 2K24 release date to land sometime in September ahead of the start of the 2023-2024 NBA season. The season starts in October.

We didn’t see any early access last year so there may not be a way to play the full version of NBA 2K24 ahead of its official release date. In the past, 2K has offered an early tipoff release date to those who bought deluxe versions of the game.

NBA 2K24 Consoles

NBA 2K24 will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

You can expect NBA 2K24 to launch on a wide assortment of platforms.

You can also expect a release on Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, PS4, PS4 Slim, and PS4 Pro. These aren’t the latest and greatest consoles, but we should see support for these platforms.

The NBA 2K series supported the PS3 and Xbox 360 until the release of NBA 2K19 in the fall of 2018. Those consoles had been supported since NBA 2K6 (Xbox 360) and NBA 2K7 (PS3).

NBA 2K24 Cover

NBA 2K23 features four players (Devin Booker, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Michael Jordan) and rapper J Cole on the cover, but that doesn’t mean we’ll see four to five covers for NBA 2K24. 2K changes tends to shake things up every year.

The NBA 2K23 standard edition featured Devin Booker on the cover. 2K will likely reveal the NBA 2K24 cover this summer.

We don’t know who will appear on the NBA 2K24 cover just yet, but you can expect multiple star players and an announcement well ahead of the game’s release date.

Some potential names include Lakers star Lebron James, Sixers big man Joel Embiid, Warriors guard Steph Curry, Bucks all-star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic from the Nuggets.

NBA 2K24 Editions

You can expect multiple versions of NBA 2K24 though we wouldn’t expect them to mirror the editions 2K launched for NBA 2K23. There are six NBA 2K23 editions:

  • Standard Edition (Devin Booker on the cover)
  • WNBA Edition (Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi)
  • Michael Jordan Edition (yup, Michael Jordan)
  • Digital Deluxe Edition (Devin Booker)
  • Championship Edition (Michael Jordan)
  • Dreamer Edition (J Cole)

The Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition and WNBA Edition are staples so you can expect those options for NBA 2K24. However, we’ll likely see the company switch up the other bundles given that we’ll probably see different cover athletes.

The bundles typically come with Virtual Currency (VC), MyTEAM bonuses, and cosmetic items for the game’s popular MyPLAYER mode. We also saw 2K throw in a free NBA League Pass subscription with the Championship Edition.

NBA 2K24 Pre-Orders

Look for NBA 2K24 to go on sale in July. NBA 2K24 pre-orders will start when the game, and its various editions, get announced.

Make sure you don’t buy any NBA 2K24 pre-orders from eBay or other services promising early access to NBA 2K24 at this stage of the game.

You can expect 2K to provide pre-order bonuses to entice shoppers. These bonuses typically include VC, MyTeam points, packs, and boosts. For example, here’s NBA 2K23’s pre-order bonus:

  • 5,000 Virtual Currency
  • 5,000 MyTEAM Points
  • 10 MyTEAM Promo Packs (delivered once per week)
  • A Boost for each MyCAREER Skill type
  • A Boost for each Gatorade Boost type
  • Devin Booker MyPLAYER Jersey
  • 95 Rated Devin Booker MyTEAM Free Agent Card

While the NBA 2K24 pre-order bonus won’t mirror this exactly, you can expect something similar.

NBA 2K24 Price

The standard edition usually retails for $59.99 for older platforms (Xbox One and PS4) and $69.99 for the Xbox Series X and PS5. Other bundles will cost more.

We’ll likely see NBA 2K24 deals emerge in the early going, but most NBA 2K24 deals will likely arrive around Black Friday in November, the holidays in December, and in 2024 as we push toward the inevitable release of NBA 2K25.

NBA 2K24 Features

Right now, we know almost nothing about the game. That said, you can expect numerous improvements and changes with a particular focus on newer platforms like the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5. You can also expect a very robust soundtrack.

It’s also worth noting that not all features will be available on day one. 2K keeps the game fresh with changes throughout its life span so we’ll see a steady drip of features roll out in the second half of 2023 and beyond.

NBA 2K24 Demo

2K used to release a short NBA 2K demo ahead of the official release date. The demo would let players try a portion of the game which was helpful to those trying to decide whether to upgrade to the latest version of the game.

Unfortunately, after many years of providing a demo, the company has stopped releasing the NBA 2K Prelude and we wouldn’t expect an NBA 2K24 demo at this point.

NBA 2K24 PC Requirements

If you plan to play NBA 2K24 on a Windows PC, you’ll need to take note of the game’s minimum and recommended requirements.

Unfortunately, those details won’t arrive until we get closer to the game’s release date so it might be a good idea to hold off on a pre-order until those arrive.

Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date & Features: 10 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

We don’t have an official Elder Scrolls 6 release date yet, we won’t get one for awhile, but here’s what you need to know right now about the next Elder Scrolls based on traditions, rumors, confirmed information, and what we expect from Bethesda.

Its been over a decade since Bethesda released Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. And while the next Elder Scrolls game is confirmed, it probably won’t hit shelves for a long, long time.

Elder Scrolls 6 is the game’s preliminary title and the game is currently in development behind the scenes. Bethesda remains silent about its plans for the game and it will probably remain tight-lipped for the foreseeable future. There’s a reason for that and we’ll touch on it below.

Unlike other games, GTA 6 for example, we haven’t seen any leaks so we, and fans of the series, are working with very little information. That said, we’ve put together a guide that will take you some of the basic things to know about Elder Scrolls 6 and its release.

Here’s a closer look at what you can expect from Elder Scrolls 6’s features, release date, consoles, and more.

Elder Scrolls 6 Trailer

Its been five years since Bethesda confirmed Elder Scrolls 6. The confirmation came all the way back in June of 2018 when the company released a teaser trailer which you can watch below.

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t reveal much and it will likely be the last look we get at the next Elder Scrolls game for a long while.

Elder Scrolls 6 Launch Date

When Bethesda released the trailer, it noted that the game was in pre-production. Last year, it was revealed that the game is still in the pre-production process. While that might be disappointing to fans of the series, there’s a very good reason for this.

Bethesda is currently hard at work on its next big RPG. That game is Starfield and it’s Bethesda’s first new developed intellectual property in over 25 years.

Starfield has been delayed multiple times, but it’s set to arrive on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC on September 6th.

It’s clear Bethesda has thrown the weight of the company behind this game which has put its other efforts, like Elder Scrolls 6, on the back burner for the time being.

Bethesda says it plans to support Starfield with DLC content and mods after launch so its attention will stay on Starfield until it’s ready to move on.

In other words, you can expect Elder Scrolls 6 to stay in development for several more years culminating with an announcement in 2025, at the earliest.

One other thing of note: Todd Howard says Elder Scrolls 6 may be the last Elder Scrolls game with him at the helm. This makes sense given how long it takes to make these games and how long Bethesda supports them post-launch.

Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date

Much like Starfield, we should get a preliminary Elder Scrolls 6 release date well in advance. Of course, that doesn’t mean the company will stick with the date.

Bethesda has delayed games in the past and there’s a chance we see the Elder Scrolls 6 release date get pushed back several times before the developer feels comfortable releasing the game to the public.

As for a specific date, Bethesda’s Todd Howard has said we may not see the game land until 2026. And that’s the earliest we may see it hit consoles and PC.

If it does land in 2026, it will arrive 15 years after Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which arrived all the way back in 2011.

Elder Scrolls 6 Consoles

Given that Starfield is exclusive to the Xbox and Windows PC, there’s a very good chance Elder Scrolls 6 will be a Microsoft exclusive as well. In fact, Xbox exclusivity has been all but confirmed by Xbox head Phil Spencer. This means the game will likely skip the PlayStation.

Starfield isn’t coming to the Xbox One series so we’re extremely comfortable telling you Elder Scrolls 6 won’t arrive for those platforms either.

As for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, it’s safe to assume the game will land on those consoles. Documents suggest Sony is planning to release PS6 sometime after 2027. If that’s accurate, we’d expect Microsoft to release a new Xbox around that time as well.

So, unless the Elder Scrolls 6 release date gets pushed into 2028 or beyond, you can expect the game to land on current-generation Xbox consoles.

Elder Scrolls 6 Pre-Orders

It almost goes without saying, but don’t buy any Elder Scrolls 6 pre-orders from sites like eBay or other places promising early access to the game.

Elder Scrolls 6 pre-orders will go live when Bethesda showcases the game in full. In other words, don’t expect it to go on sale at retailers until 2025 or later.

Elder Scrolls 6 Price

As of right now, you can expect the base version of Elder Scrolls 6 for Xbox One Series X to start at $69.99. This is the going rate for AAA games right now. That could obviously change down the road, but this is what to expect at this point.

If Bethesda releases additional bundles, and there’s no doubt in our mind that it will, you can expect those bundles to cost more money.

Elder Scrolls 6 Setting

The Elder Scrolls 6 trailer has led to a ton of speculation about the game’s setting, but as of yet, nothing has been confirmed. That being said, Todd Howard has said the game’s setting has already been decided.

As of right now, smart money is currently on Hammerfell, which enthusiasts know as the home of the Redguards. Much of this speculation has come from a tweet from the Elder Scrolls account.

The tweet features a map of Skyrim and says “transcribe the past and map the future.” One of the candles on the map is right where Hammerfall is, leading some to believe this is a clue.

Of course, this could simply be a coincidence, but others have noted that they believe the land shown in the game’s trailer matches up with Hammerfall.

Elder Scrolls 6 Features

The game is still in early development so we don’t have much information in the way of new features, but here are a few things you can expect.

Todd Howard told The Telegraph and GQ that the company is using the same engine for Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6. Obviously, there will be differences as the company makes improvements to the engine, but at least some of the tech should be similar.

Howard also told IGN that, much like Skyrim, Elder Scrolls 6 is a game is being designed with replayability in mind. He says that it needs to be made in such a way that people will be playing it for a decade or more.

In other words, you can expect the game to offer many of the same elements that make games like Fallout and the previous Elder Scrolls games so popular.

We also know that the Skyrim Grandma, Shirley Curry, will appear in the next Elder Scrolls game in some capacity.

Elder Scrolls 6 Mods

Mod support for Bethesda games is always fantastic and you can expect a robust community for Elder Scrolls 6 as well.

Again, as noted above, Howard says these types of games are built to ensure for a decade or longer and mod support plays a huge part in that.

Elder Scrolls 6 PC Requirements

If you’re planning to play Elder Scrolls 6 on a Windows PC, note we won’t get the game’s minimum and recommended requirements until we’re close to the release date.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Which Edition to Buy? is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

The next Assassin’s Creed game is up for pre-order right now and we want to help you pick the right Assassin’s Creed Mirage edition for your interest level and budget.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Ubisoft’s latest entry into the long-running Assassin’s Creed series and it takes players to ancient Baghdad. It puts players into the shoes of Basim Ibn Ishaq, an assassin that was first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Mirage is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Amazon Luna, and PC with a release date set for October 12th.

There are three Assassin’s Creed Mirage editions up for pre-order. If you decide to buy a copy, you’ll be faced with a decision: Buy the standard version of the game, go with the Deluxe Edition, or spend a bunch of money on a Collector’s Case Bundle.

In this guide we’ll take you through each version of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and help you decide which version is the right one for you.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Standard Edition

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage standard edition is the most basic version of the game. It’s also the cheapest for all platforms.

A copy of the standard edition for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, or Windows PC will run you $49.99 at the moment. We could see some deals emerge in the buildup to the game’s release so make sure you shop around before you commit.

In addition to a copy of the game, a pre-order will net you a bonus quest in the game. That quest is called The Forty Thieves. It’s unclear how long it is or if it will net you bonus items.

This is the most basic version of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but it’s probably the version most people should buy. This is who should buy this edition:

  • Causal Assassin’s Creed fans or newcomers to the series.
  • Those who don’t have a ton of time to play games and aren’t sure how much time they can invest in a single-player action-adventure game.

You can buy the standard version of the game at Amazon,

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Deluxe Edition

If you’re a big Assassin’s Creed fan and don’t mind paying a little extra for some additional goodies, think about buying the Deluxe Edition for your platform of choice.

The Deluxe Edition is $59.99 and it nets you some additional items in addition to the pre-order bonus. These include the Deluxe Pack which has a Prince of Persia inspired outfit, eagle & mount skins, weapons, and more, a digital artbook, and a digital soundtrack.

So who should spend the extra money on the Deluxe Edition?

  • People who know they are going to invest a ton of time in the game.
  • People who really like to customize their characters and items.
  • Huge Assassin’s Creed fans.

You can buy the Deluxe version of the game at Amazon.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Collector’s Edition

There is also a $149.99 Assassin’s Creed Mirage Collector’s bundle that’s exclusive to GameStop. It includes a copy of the game, the pre-order bonus, and some additional items.

These items include:

  • A high-quality figurine of Basim (32cm),
  • A replica of Basim’s brooch,
  • An exclusive Steelbook with design to be elected by fans,
  • The Art of Assassin’s Creed Mirage mini-artbook,
  • A Baghdad Map,
  • A Selected Soundtrack of the game.

This bundle is aimed at hardcore fans of the series and collectors. Most people are better off going with the standard or Deluxe version.

Digital Copy vs. Physical Copy

Assassin’s Creed Mirage comes in digital and physical formats. There are some key differences between the two and you’ll want to buy the right one for you and your situation at home.

Here are a few reasons to go with a digital version of Assassin’s Creed Mirage:

  • You’re tired of discs cluttering up your entertainment center.
  • You live in a house where discs often get lost or damaged.
  • You don’t want to locate your disc every time you want to play.
  • You want to pre-load the game and play as soon as it unlocks.

Here are a few reasons to go with a physical copy of the game:

  • You’ll be able to sell it to a store like GameStop or another reseller if you get tired of it or don’t want to play it again after you beat it.
  • You’ll be able to easily lend your copy out to friends or family members when you decide to move onto another game or if they want to try it before they buy.

We’ll let you know if anything changes between now and the game’s release date.

3 Reasons to Pre-Order Assassin’s Creed Mirage & 4 Reasons to Wait

Pre-Order Assassin's Creed Mirage for a Bonus Quest

Pre-Order Assassin's Creed Mirage for a Bonus Quest

Like most games, Assassin's Creed Mirage includes a pre-order bonus.

While we typically see companies throw in-game cosmetics, Ubisoft is throwing in an additional quest with every Assassin's Creed Mirage pre-order.

The quest is called The Forty Thieves. As of right now, it's unclear how long the quest is or if it will net you bonus items.

That being said, if you want additional content and/or you're the completionist type, you may want to buy the game to get access to this bonus quest.

GTA 6 Release Date & Features: 11 Things to Know is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

We don’t have an official GTA 6 release date yet, but here’s what you need to know right now about Grand Theft Auto 6 based on traditions, rumors, confirmed information, and what we expect from Rockstar.

We know the next Grand Theft Auto game, presumably titled GTA 6 or GTA VI, is in development, but Rockstar remains tight-lipped about its plans.

We’ve seen a ton of leaks and potential information emerge, but very little in the way of official information. That being said, we do expect to learn more about the game, perhaps as soon as this year.

We know a lot of gamers have questions about GTA 6’s release so we’re going to outline everything we expect in this guide. Here’s a closer look at what you can expect from GTA 6’s features, release date, consoles, and more.

GTA 6 Announcement

After years of speculation and silence, Rockstar confirmed the existence of Grand Theft Auto 6 in a press release all the way back in February, 2022.

At the time, the company said it was “pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway and that it looks “forward to sharing more as soon as” its ready. The company reiterated this in August, 2022.

Since then, Rockstar has been radio silent about the game. That could certainly change later this year, but as of yet, nothing is confirmed.

One insider believes it’s a “given“the game will be announced this year but that, of course, doesn’t mean the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date will land in 2023. It won’t.

GTA 6 Release Date

When Rockstar officially announces GTA 6 we should get the game’s release date. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the developer will stick to the date.

Rockstar is notorious for delays, it delayed both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, so keep that in mind when the release date does get announced.

As for specific timing, the GTA 6 release date is unknown and we’ve seen a bunch of different time frames thrown out there by journalists and leakers. We’ve also seen the game’s publisher, Take-Two Interactive, hint at the GTA 6 release date in a press release.

According to Take-Two, the game will most likely arrive sometime between April 2024 and March 2025. The company says FY 2025 is a “highly anticipated year.”

This lines up with everything we’ve heard about the game’s release date thus far and it means we could see the game arrive on shelves in 2024.

In July of last year, Bloomberg noted that the game’s release date was at least two years away.

Microsoft, in a response to a UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation, stated that the “highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in 2024.” So 2024 is certainly in play for the GTA 6 release date, but we could also see it arrive later than that.

In the video above, leaker Tom Henderson claims we could see the game arrive on shelves as late as 2025. Henderson has been accurate with his information in the past so this shouldn’t be dismissed.

Henderson says Rockstar is aiming to release the game in 2024, but that a delay pushing the game into 2025 is in the realm of possibility.

Another leaker, YouTuber Tyler McVicker, also believes Rockstar’s planning to release the game in 2024.

GTA 6 Consoles

If you own a Windows PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S, you’ve got nothing to worry about. GTA 6 won’t miss the PC or current-generation platforms. If you own an older console, you’re at risk.

Nothing is confirmed, but Tom Henderson says Rockstar is planning to release the game on current-generation consoles. In other words, GTA 6 could miss the Xbox One series and Sony’s PS4.

While this would obviously be disappointing, this is a growing trend. For instance, EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is only available for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC.

So, here’s the full list of platforms we expect GTA 6 to come to:

  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X
  • Xbox Series S
  • Windows PC

Sony is also reportedly working on a PS5 Pro. According to Henderson, the console, which would likely offer better performance, is tentatively scheduled to arrive next year. It’s unclear if Microsoft is working on a mid-generation upgrade for the Xbox.

GTA 6’s publisher, Take-Two, also believes we’ll see mid-generation console refreshes.

GTA 6 Cover

We’ve seen a people release their own cover art ideas for GTA 6, but we haven’t seen the actual GTA 6 cover leak yet.

Unless Rockstar suffers another monster leak, we probably won’t get our first glimpse at the GTA 6 cover until the developer officially announces the game.

GTA 6 Pre-Order

It almost goes without saying, but don’t buy any GTA 6 pre-orders from eBay or other services promising early access to the game right now.

Pre-orders for the game will go live whenever Rockstar announces the game and sets a release date. In other words, don’t expect it to go on sale until 2024 or 2025.

Look for Rockstar to entice shoppers with GTA 6 pre-order bonuses. These will likely be in-game items like cosmetics for your character, weapon skins, and other items. One of the GTA 5 pre-order bonuses was the Atomic Blimp which you can see in the image above.

GTA 6 Editions

We haven’t heard anything about GTA 6 editions and we won’t get those details until Rockstar launches the game. That being said, you can expect a few different versions of the game.

Rockstar initially launched three versions of GTA 5: A Standard edition, a Special Edition, and a Collector’s Edition. Each came at a different price point with a different set of bonus items.

For instance, the Special Edition and the Collector’s Edition featured a steel book, a blueprint map, bonus outfits and tattoos, additional weapons, and more.

The Collector’s Edition, the most expensive bundle, came with a hat, security deposit bag, GTA 5 key, along with unique vehicles and properties.

Rockstar also released multiple Red Dead Redemption 2 editions so it’s safe to say this approach will probably be used again with GTA 6.

GTA 6 Price

We haven’t heard anything firm about the game’s price point, but as of right now you can expect the GTA 6 price for Xbox Series X and PS5 to start at $69.99.

This is the going rate for AAA titles these days and there’s no reason to believe one of the biggest games of the decade will command any less.

That should be the price for the standard version of the game. If Rockstar releases multiple bundles, you can expect them to cost more.

GTA 6 Map

The real Red Dead Redemption 2 map leaked ahead of the game’s arrival, but we haven’t seen the official GTA 6 map leak out yet.

GTA 6’s setting is expected to be based on Rockstar’s version of Miami, also known as Vice City. However, much in the way GTA 5 took players out of Los Santos, GTA 6 will likely take players into areas beyond Vice City. Leaks have hinted at places like the Everglades and the Florida Keys.

YouTuber Tyler McVicker has claimed (in a video that has since been made private) the game will also take players to the island of Cuba (Guarma from Red Dead Redemption 2?).

We’ve seen several concepts emerge and they provide us with a detailed glimpse at potential locations and the potential size of the GTA 6 map.

GTA 6 map

Concept art depicting what the GTA 6 map could look like.

Like Rockstar’s previous games, you can expect an expansive map to explore with various environments. And, according to Bloomberg, we could see Rockstar add to the map over time, kind of like how Fortnite’s map continually evolves.

The report suggests that in an effort to avoid employee crunch, Rockstar plans to “continually update the game over time, adding new missions and cities on a regular basis.”

That being said, you can expect a huge world from the start with, as Bloomberg adds, “more interior locations than previous Grand Theft Auto games.”

GTA 6 Features

Most of what we know about GTA 6’s features come from a hack Rockstar Games endured in the fall of 2022. A user on GTAForums posted 90 videos showing nearly an hour of footage of the unfinished game.

Rockstar and several journalists confirmed the authenticity of the footage and it was revealed that some of the content was about a year old.

We don’t want to spoil anything plot-related in this guide so we’ll cover what we know about the game’s mechanics, some of which come from Rockstar’s previous games.

Here are some of the highlights thus far. Keep in mind, some of these GTA 6 features may not make it into the final version of the game:

  • Dialogue system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2’s where you can talk to any NPC.
  • Stealth mechanics including carrying bodies and the ability to crawl prone.
  • Wanted system.
  • Weapon wheel.
  • Consumables like painkillers.
  • Ability to pick up or drop weapons.

It also looks like we’ll see GTA 6 feature a female protagonist which would be a first for the series.

A well-known leaker claims GTA 6’s multiplayer component won’t include dedicated servers. He claims “Take-Two rejected a proposal for dedicated servers a few years ago.”

McVicker also says there will be a time jump in the game’s plot though no specifics were offered. A time jump, while not confirmed, fits in with Rockstar’s approach as one was included in both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

GTA 6 DLC

With GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar decided not to release premium single-player content, much to the dismay of gamers who enjoyed its offerings for games like GTA 4 and the original Red Dead Redemption. Fortunately, that could change with GTA 6.

According to a noted insider, Rockstar may cut portions of the game in order to get the game out on time and that it may package that content into DLC packs for release at a later time.

This should be music to the ears of those who adored Rockstar’s fantastic single-player DLC expansions, but given that the game is still in development, this news should be taken for what it is: a rumor.

GTA 6 PC Requirements

If you’re looking to buy GTA 6 for Windows PC, note that we probably won’t get the game’s minimum and recommended requirements until we’re close to the release date.

If you’re planning to run GTA 6 at its highest settings, you’ll need to keep your PC up-to-date with the latest hardware. So given that its release isn’t expected for another year or more, be prepared to shell out cash.
