You may have heard that on Saturday, September 24, Netflix held court with its second annual global fan event, Tudum, with an exciting 24 hours stretched around the world filled with exclusive news, never-before-seen footage, trailers, and first looks, as well as interviews with Netflix’s biggest stars and creators. The free virtual event debuted last year as a celebration of Netflix fandom and continues to be dedicated to sharing the scoop on more than 100 fan-favorite shows, films, and specials, including, of course, Shondaland hit Bridgerton and the new Queen Charlotte spin-off.
To help celebrate, Shondaland treated fans to a panel dedicated to all things Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, full of sneak-peek photos and videos. To start, Bridgerton stars Claudia Jessie and Luke Newton revealed their artistic sides in a friendly — and revealing — round of "Bridgerton Sibling Portraits," hosted by Nicola Coughlan, who also revealed a sneak peek at Lady Whistledown’s first newsletter of season three.
But while we can’t wait to see what’s to come in the third season of Bridgerton, excitement reached a fever pitch when, after finally being introduced to our first look at young Queen Charlotte, we were thrilled even further when Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte executive producer Shonda Rhimes surprised everyone with an appearance where she talked about how the Queen Charlotte spin-off came to be, gave praise and thanks to Bridgerton fans, and introduced an exclusive clip of her latest creation, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story!
The exclusive first-look clip below of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story teases with a sweet scenario between our beloved queen and her new king as we get to know their love story. The clip reveals the moment when Charlotte (India Amarteifio) rather unexpectedly meets her husband-to-be, King George (Corey Mylchreest).
If you missed any of these amazing tidbits from these two upcoming Shondaland shows — or just need to revel in it all again — you can catch Tudum on Netflix’s YouTube channel. And while there is so much more to come from season three of Bridgerton and the debut season of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, for now, make sure to catch up on everything we know about season three, and listen and subscribe to Bridgerton: The Official Podcast, available on Apple, iHeart, and wherever you get your favorite podcasts.
